Industry-First Finish Offers Greater Design Flexibility and Fewer Fingerprints – KitchenAid has introduced a completely new collection of professionally-inspired major appliances in a first-of-its-kind black stainless steel finish. The new finish combines the satiny luster of brushed steel with a warm, neutral tone that both increases its adaptability to various kitchen designs and decreases the appearance of fingerprints.
Reflecting the growing popularity of unconventional finishes in the kitchen and bath, plumbing manufacturer Kohler and Danze are expanding the availability of their Satin Black finish.
With a strong desire for “statement pieces” in kitchen and bath environments, industry pros and consumers are seeking unique designs and finishes from manufacturers, says Danze vice president of marketing Kevin McJoynt. Because of that demand, the company has added the Satin Black option to several of its kitchen and bath offerings, including its Mid-town bath collection, single-handle lavatory faucet, two-handle wide-spread faucet, shower trim, and pull-out kitchen faucets.
